Southwest Airlines Announces Service from RDU to Houston
UPDATED December 20, 2011: Service Now to Being April 22, 2012
RDU Airport, NC – Southwest Airlines today announced it will begin non-stop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Houston Hobby Airport. The airline will offer one daily flight between the two destinations. Service begins April 22, 2012. Tickets go on sale today.
“Houston is a significant market for Southwest to serve from RDU because of the improved access our customers will gain to Dallas,” said Teresa Damiano, RDU’s deputy airport director for marketing and customer relations. “It is also important to note that this flight offers customers an alternative connection to West coast markets of importance to RDU including San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.”
Flight 378 will depart RDU at 2:40 p.m. arriving in Houston at 4:35 p.m. Flight 541 will leave Houston at 10:30 a.m. and arrive at RDU at 2:05 p.m.
Southwest currently offers service from RDU to Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, St. Louis and Tampa.
